Cody Phillips has recently joined Phillips Data full time. We thought it was a good time to introduce you to him with a little Q&A.
What do you do at Phillips Data?
I work on the full spectrum of web development. Everything from designing database schemas to Photoshop work. Of course I enjoy programming the most. That's sort of my forte.
Tell us more, have you done anything interesting or exciting lately?
I've been pretty busy working on Blesta lately, which is coming together quite nicely. I'm very excited to see it near its first official release. I think a lot of people are really going to love the flexibility of Blesta, there's just nothing else like it out there.
Tell us a little about yourself; any likes/dislikes, and what you like to do in your spare time.
I don't know of a lot of people that do the same thing at work as they do in their spare time, but I'm one of those guys. In fact, some of the things I create in my spare time actually get used in projects we develop here at Phillips Data.
I really enjoy solving complex/optimization problems, and developing small, efficient, algorithms. Perhaps my biggest pet peeve, and I think almost everyone can relate with me here, are programming languages that don't offer unsigned byte values... Argh, just thinking about it makes me so angry!
Cody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
